Case Study: Direct Mail

Problem: MCS produces multiple weekly mailings on a 7-day schedule. Copy for these projects changes often and needs to be proofed by the client each week. A 7-day schedule does not allow much time for the client to proofread the text and verify data. Since the client was not local, hard-copy proofs were being overnighted to the client each week. It took approximately a full day to route and review internally.

MCS Solution: Web-based proofing. Every minute counts in a weekly schedule, so MCS implemented a secure web-based proofing platform. Now the client receives email notification when live proofs are available. They view the proofs via the Internet and can have multiple users within their organization access the proofs simultaneously. Changes can be annotated directly onto the web-proofs and sent back to our account team. This process gave more breathing room in the schedule for the client, their internal proofing department, and MCS.
