Problem: A communications corporation mailing approximately 3,000 - 10,000 pieces per week was experiencing high inventory turnover. The creative changed often, requiring reprinting of forms. MCS realized that the client was destroying large quantities of pre-printed stock each time the creative changed.
MCS Solution: Print On Demand. By switching the laser from traditional cutsheet black lasering to 4-color digital laser, MCS eliminated the need for the client to preprint any stock. The digital laser price is higher than traditional laser, but when gauged against the amount of stock being destroyed and reprinted, the client was able to eliminate waste and save thousands. Now, the client can make on-the-fly changes as often as they’d like without worrying about wasting preprinted stock.
